Fixing the AP Stats Training Gap

Let me share a familiar story. It's May and an unsuspecting math teacher was just told that they're teaching AP Stats next year. This teacher doesn't have much background in stats. So, they seek out summer training and find these two options:

  • A) Attend an in-person training, like an APSI or SkewU. These trainings are awesome. However, they also tend to be expensive ($500 - $1,600), time-intensive (30 straight hours), and logistically difficult (travel). For many teachers, this is simply not an option.

  • B) Skip the training and read one textbook chapter ahead of their students during the school year.

The majority of new AP Stats teachers go with Option B their first year, mainly because they have no other choice. That's why we've worked hard to build a new option - a rigorous, flexible, and low-cost online workshop for new AP Stats teachers:

Learn content, score FRQs, and plan for the year - all with self-paced modules and expert support.

As a nonprofit, our fee is much lower than any other options we've come across. Our goal is to prepare new stats teachers - not to make a bunch of money. When you get a chance, check out the workshop and share the link with a new stats teacher! They'll be grateful you shared it :)

Let's skew it!
