Notice: We are pausing new SkewU Online registrations, while we update the course to align with our new AP Statistics curriculum

We’re launching an updated AP Statistics curriculum in June 2026. Please check back in Spring 2027 for our updated SkewU Online course.

For New AP® Statistics Teachers

A rigorous, flexible, low-cost training for new AP® Stats teachers!

  • Logistics: Online, self-paced (~3 weeks, 10hrs / week)

  • Audience: Teachers with 0 - 2 years of AP® Stats teaching experience

1) Learn AP® Stats content

You'll work through our popular free AP Stats lessons. Lessons explore relevant topics and are aligned to the CED & all major textbooks.

2) Practice & Score AP® Questions

You'll practice real AP questions from prior exams. Then, our AP rubric walkthrough videos will help you score yourself.

3) Plan effective units & lessons

Answer questions like: What's the CED? How does it align with my textbook? How do I structure class time? How do I pace the course?

Self-paced modules (~3 weeks, 10hrs/week)

Complete the training on your couch, at any time, and at your own pace, without sitting on Zoom. Earn a certificate for 30 hours of training.

Made by teachers, for teachers

Modules are created and led by experienced AP teachers and AP Exam readers Elisa Oliver and Jerry Kosoff. You'll see them in videos and optional live summer office hours!

Typical AP training: $600+

SkewU Online (Typical): $215

SkewU Online (Promotion): $125

After registering, you can complete the course at any time.

As a nonprofit, we offer high-quality and accessible AP Stats workshops at a much lower cost than most providers. Our goal is to prepare new stats teachers - not to make a bunch of money.

Funding: Appeal to your school for funds by sharing our flyer. If that fails, please email contact@skewthescript.org for fundraising assistance.

Course Structure & Recommended Pacing

Teachers can proceed through modules at their own pace. They'll receive a certificate for 30 professional development hours upon completion of all modules.
