New Desmos Offerings

Kevin McSorley & Juan Gómez

This summer, two Desmos wizards - Kevin McSorley and Juan Gómez - expanded and revamped our Desmos offerings. Specifically:

  1. They created aligned Desmos activities for our Algebra I/II lessons! See the growing Algebra I/II Desmos collection here.

  2. They created trimmed down versions of AP Stats Desmos activities. These activities, originally created for virtual learning during the pandemic, now have punchier versions geared toward in-class instruction. See these updates in our AP Stats collection. They'll finish all the way through Part 4 by the end of August!

  3. Kevin worked hard to create several simulation-based activities for our new AP Stats inference trifecta lessons. Check out our two favorites: Polling Intervals and the NBA Bubble hypothesis test.

You can find all of these offerings in our Desmos collections (AP Stats & Algebra I/II), as well as linked from individual lesson pages on our website (under "Student Items").

Kevin and Juan's incredible work, which builds on the incredible work of our original Desmos contributors, will help bring more intuitive animations, instructive simulations, and genuine student engagement to all of our classrooms. We know we speak for everyone when we say: Thank you, thank you, thank you (x1,000).

Let's skew it!
