Collaboration with Math Medic

Earlier this week, we launched our first collaboration lesson with Math Medic. The idea behind the collaboration is simple: The best lessons are not the ones that are either relevant (Skew The Script) or experience-based (Math Medic) – the best lessons are both. We’re confident this first collaborative lesson and the ones that follow will push students' understanding of statistics and push them to think more deeply about the world around them.

We can't thank the Math Medics (Lindsey and Luke) enough for their consistent advising and support since the launch of Skew The Script. Their 'experience first, formalize later' (EFFL) lesson structure is a powerful tool for centering student voice, experience, and learning in the classroom. We’re excited to continue combining genuinely relevant contexts with the EFFL lesson structure to create "best of both worlds" lessons for classrooms across the country.

Let’s skew it!
